Strandcafe Starnberg in Starnberg

We spent a lovely day in Starnberg last year and came here to have a coffee. Eich nice café with a wonderful view of Lake Starnberg. The waitress was a bit stressed and so the service had to suffer a bit, but the coffee, cake and the ice cream were delicious.

The cafe is always quiet

If I could, I wouldn't give a star at all. This one is NOT justified. Why? Absolutely bad, rude and incompetent service, cake is just thawed, ambience not nice! Definitely not again!

Very nice location with a perfect view of the lake. Cherry crumble cake (3.80) and a large cup of coffee (4.10) are no surprise with this location. There are indoor seats and you can pay with an EC card.

What could be nicer than sitting on the terrace with a drink and enjoying the wonderful view over Lake Starnberg. The service was very friendly and quick. We recommend.

Very nice!

Had a great place on the roof terrace with a view of the lake. Food was great! The staff was very courteous and helpful, and were also friendly to extra requests. Prices were also okay for the location.

We had noodles that were very tasty, a little more next time! One of the waitresses was very quick and all alone, she had a lot to do that we felt sorry for her! The toilet was unfortunately a complete disaster, I don't know when it was cleaned the doors and walls in the cubicles were full of various liquids, and the floor was also full!

Cozy coffee with a beer garden atmosphere. The location is great, right on the jetty. The prices are rather steep. A small cappuccino for the price of a large one is rather outrageous.

It is a very cosy cafe. They serve cakes coffee and even lunch. Service was friendly and you can really enjoy the view of the beautiful Starnberg lake. Really nice place to sit with a cake and a cup of coffee and take in the view.

A bit chaotic, whether the tables are all disinfected, after the guest change I can't say. Queerbeet meets the people here. From children to seniors, everything is there. The service is very friendly, a bit chaotic but brisk ... Ice chocolate and ice cream itself was very tasty. The food that was served around it looked very good and people seemed to like it. We love to go there again.

More needs to be done for better services

We were there on our vacation, on a beautiful sunny day. The staff was very friendly and quick. We only ate one salad, so we cannot rate the other dishes. But what we got was very good! A great view with a beautiful roof terrace.

Good localization, right on the lake, but the food is a disaster! Worst schnitzel I've ever eaten ;-( Never again!

Nice café right on Lake Starnberg with a wonderful view. The service was friendly and quick.

Today had my worst veal Wiener Schnitzel of my life. Without proper breading, tough without end because the cook did not remove the silver skin, no proper fried potatoes. The whole thing for 19.90 euros. You really wonder what the chef actually does for a living. Incredible.

Amazing place to come for a coffee or a light snack ... the food and the drinks aren’t anything special but the best thing about this place is definitely the view it offers... you can see right across the stanberger sea

We waited 10 minutes for the waiter to serve us. We didn't object to anything, nor did we show that it bothered us, but the waiter still approached rudely and unculturedly. He let us look at the menu and didn’t show up again. In all, we sat at an empty table for 25 minutes, with no order and no indication that the waiter would do his job. Although he was not alone, there were already three of them. Eventually we went to another restaurant. 👎👎👎👎👎

Service is really fast. Price / performance everything was great. You can definitely recommend it!

So the only thing that was good was the beer. Starting from the Kässpatzen to the schnitzel with chips, everything was really well below average. The male waitress didn't have their best day either.

Go there only if the view on the lake is more important than the food for you. No vegetarian options but waitress was nice and they accept dogs.

Cozy and warm ambience with a great view of the Sea. Food was tasty. Ordered a Putenschnitzel with mushroom and rice, tomato soup both were great.

Amazing view and good place to stay and have snacks

This cafe does not accept cards from non-German banks. This is not made clear beforehand so they make customers find a bank to withdraw cash. The credit card they refused was issued by a British bank and was valid for use in Germany. They wouldn't even try it. This behavior is dishonest as their restrictions are not clearly advertised.

If you come here for a drink or food, be sure that you bring food, water and a tent because you'll be waiting few hours to order, and than between 1-2 week to delivery. Never coming back.

The place has a nice view to of the lake. The food was just ok and nothing special . The service was extremely slow and a bit rude. Will not visit it again.

Extremely unfriendly waitress I ordered Fish teller (lachs vom grill, )this is not tasty because vegetables were cold and with ice ,I ask waiter food is with ice ,not feedback from waiters,poor quality of food don’t not recommend to any body go there and also very costly

One of the best evenings spent on stanbergsee. A perfect evening at a perfect restaurant with perfect drink on a beautiful stanberg see, just made a day memoriable
